Miniature magic

This is one of the miniature portraits by Elvira Duives. Drawn on cardboard no larger than 5×4,5 cm, they are beautifully detailed portraits of new people. Sometimes drawn after an existing portrait, but felttipped into an imaginary Walhalla of ordinary faces. Duives used the Copic markers from a professional collection that once was her fathers.

The juicy ink created smooth and soft images of exquisite colour.

I would love to see these in a proper gallery space, white cube style!

They are on sale at together other signature items.
